In 1991, Keith Horn, Denis Cowart, and some friends decided they wanted to race dirt cars in southwest Arkansas.

So - they found a spot on AR 27 between the small towns of Murfreesboro and Nashville and they cleared the peach orchard and hauled in some of the richest red clay in the ArkLaTex region and a diamond in the rough began.

The speedway changed ownership, names, and now is present day Diamond Park Speedway aka #ThePark and owned by Wayne, Patti and Fonzo Tidwell who also own the Centerville Super Speedway in northwest Arkansas.

Check them out on Saturdays, March through November for some of the most exciting racing action around!
